This expression of interest is for 2-3 of the in park buildings across Sefton, the buildings being based in parks provides an ideal project context and some of these building appear to have the capacity for trike building operations. We have been speaking with Cycling UK to explore any interests or ways of connecting to such a project and as we are primarily an educational organisation we are particularly keen to connect to schools (primary and secondary) plus FE institutions as we have a history of working within education for STEM advancement; abunDANCE in Schools; https://www.abundancecentre.org/inschools.html
Sefton Council promotes Active Cycling which comprises a good programme of support and encouragement for the advancement of active traversing amongst citizens. We are reaching out to council partners like MeCycle (Ainsdale), national organisations like Cycling UK and the local councillors across Sefton to ensure that our learners’ cooperative is well networked locally and engaged in partnership potentials and operational synergies. For us this will be a pilot that, after experience and refinement, can be replicated in other parts of the UK. On the educational side our project will engage schools and FE across the council region, outreaching into them with educational services and also providing our STEAM’d uP Creators’ Hubs for professional referrals into our provisions.
